Whose Right to Die?

In this 1997 article, Ezekiel Emanuel, President Obama's healthcare advisor, seems to spell out why he opposes assisted suicide and involuntary euthanasia. In the end, however, he argues that "in exceptional cases interventions are appropriate, as acts of desperation." There's probably not a single case that could not be deemed exceptional.
