Robert Latimer, who killed his disabled daughter, says he’d do it again

In an interview with Radio-Canada, Latimer said, "I know I was right," to kill 12-year-old Tracy, who suffered from cerebral palsy. Latimer has never expressed remorse for killing his 12-year-old daughter, and has maintained that he had acted "out of love" and that he had no choice but to kill her.

Alex Schadenberg, executive director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition said Latimer's remarks demonstrate "exactly why we need laws that protect people with disabilities." Latimer's parole stipulates that he must continue receiving psychological counseling, that he is "not to have responsibility for, or make decisions for, any individuals who are severely disabled," and that he is restricted to a 50-mile radius around his residence in Victoria, British Columbia.
